1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using SmartDigitalTips, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Your licence to use the tools
You may use every tool on this site, for any lawful purpose, free of charge. This expressly includes commercial use — at work, for clients, or within a business. No attribution is required and no licence key is needed.
What you may not do is copy the site itself: our design, code, written content and branding remain our property and may not be reproduced, scraped in bulk or republished without written permission.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anybody's rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its infrastructure or any connected system.
- Interfere with or disrupt the site, including through automated scraping at a rate that degrades service for others.
- Introduce malicious code, or attempt to circumvent any security measure.
- Misrepresent the site as your own, or remove or obscure any proprietary notice.
4. No warranty
The site and every tool on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results obtained from any tool will be accurate or reliable.
We build carefully and test our tools, but software contains defects and browsers behave differently. You use the tools at your own risk.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site.
This includes, without limitation, any loss arising from reliance on the output of a calculator, converter, analyser or generator on this site. See our Disclaimer for more detail.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6. Your content
Because our tools process your content entirely within your browser, we never receive it and therefore claim no rights over it. Anything you type, paste or open remains entirely yours.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any content you use with our tools, and for keeping your own backups. Several tools — the focus writing surface in particular — deliberately do not persist anything, and we cannot recover work lost by closing a tab.
7. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice. We may add, change or remove tools as browser capabilities and our priorities evolve.
We aim to keep the site available continuously but do not guarantee any particular level of uptime.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
